Recipe
Flour - 50g
Bread
Crumbs - 50g
Satis/Sausage
Meat – 200g
Fresh
Egg - 1
Boiled Egg - 3
hardboiled egg
Spices - Mixed
spices, curry, thyme, maggi, nutmeg, black pepper
Direction
1. Boil the
eggs, then quickly scoop into iced water
2. Mix together
the sausage meat (satis), egg and spices
in a bowl
3. De-shell the
cooled eggs.
4. Flour your
palm
5. Take a good
chunk of mince and pat it out evenly to cover
one hand
6. Roll the egg
in four and place it on the mince. Encase the egg, adding extra mince if there
is gap
7. Dip the
scotch egg in beaten egg and then roll it in bread crumbs to coat.
8. Repeat with
the remaining eggs.
9. Cover with cling
film and refrigerate for at least 4hrs to firm up and set.
10. Pour the oil
in a deep-heavy-based pan to not more than one third full.
11. Heat the oil
and fry, allow to gold fry.
Note: To make bread crumbs, get sliced bread,
pieces the bread with your fingers. Smash together with the two palms to pieces
and sieve with your colander not sieve. If the bread is soft, dry or heat it on
fire with frying pan for some minutes.
Recipe for 3 hardboiled egg.
Minced
sausage meat - 200g

(magi) - ½ teaspoon
Nutmeg - A pinch
Salt - A pinch
Black Pepper
(Optional) - ½ teaspoon
Plain flour - 50g

Method
1. Mix Flour,
sugar, maggi (preferably Onga mixed with a little water), salt, mixed spices
and little vegetable oil together.
2. Add more
water and mix very well.
3. Beat the egg
and add little water.
4. Grind
biscuit to form biscuit crumbs
Molding.
1. Take the egg
and roll the pastry round the egg and mold well.
2. Roll the
covered egg inside the raw beaten egg and roll inside the biscuit crumbs.
3. Deep fry and
serve.
