FISH
ROLL
Recipe for
dough
Flour - 300g
Salt - a pinch
Butter - 150g
Baking powder - 1½ teaspoon
Nutmeg - 2 pinches
Egg - 1
Recipe for
filling
Fish
Onion - Chopped
1 Stck cube -
Curry - 1 teaspoon
Thyme - 1 teaspoon
Salt - a pinch
Gallic powder (optional) – 1 teaspoon
Direction
1. Put the
flour in a bowl, add baking powder and a pinch of salt and mix well.
2.
Add margarine and use the tips of the finger to rub the margarine
into the flour till the mix becomes like crumbs.
3.
Add water in bits and fold until a stiff ball of dough is formed.
4. Knead the
dough very well and leave to rest for about 5-7 minutes.
For the fillings
1. Boil and get
rid of the bones
2.
Smash the fish together
3.
Put a tablespoon of butter on a heat.
4.
Add the chopped onion and allow to fry.
5. Add the
smash fish with all the seasonings and allow to fry.
Note: If you want the fish fillings moist dissolve
a tablespoon of flour in water and add to the fish roll fillings.
6. Roll the
dough on the work table to desired length.
7.
Cut out the rolled dough to a rectangle Shape.
8.
Put I the fillings and fold once or twice
9. Egg wash and
bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes.
